You assume every stakeholder with an interest in this process has the ability
to do so. I know many for whom any such trip out of their own region would be
a hardship.
Further, these meetings were established on what was VERY short notice.
Perhaps your schedule is such that it can be trivially reorganized at such
short notice, but again, not all stakeholders have that flexibility.
By forcing face to face participation to be included, you are setting an entry
restriction. Some may not be able to meet that artificially created
requirement. Should they be excluded simply because they can't? Absolutely
not, especially when it is an organization that is supposed to be mandated in
representing their interests.
