RESULTS of the STARTUP VOTE on the voting rules for the GA of the DNSO

Electorate: 117 persons in a vote roster, when the ballot was sent out

Voted: 61

Participation: 52.1%

Vote results:

5 votes [X] I do not want the voting rules at

According to the suggested rules we vote on http://www.dnso.org/dnso/notes/2000.GA-voting-rules.html:

5. In the case where the question is a new rule or rule change for the GA, the number of votes in favour of the winning alternative must be at least 2/3 of cast votes, with a minimum number of cast votes being the lower of 20% of the registered voters or 100 votes

The "2/3 of cast votes" is 41.

The "20% of the registered voters" is 24.

The requested minimum of affirmative votes is 24.

Therefore the proposed rules are adopted (56 "I want" is greater than 41, the "2/3 of cast votes").

Vote records.

Each voter got an aknowledge quoting his ballot as received.
Each voter may recognize its ballot in the attached public record by his personnal code.
We had 5 special cases, all accepted as it was the very first vote, and many persons could get confused:
1. one voter put "Y" instead of "X", "I want", taken
2. one voter put "*" instead of "X", "I do not want", taken
3. two voters did not put "X", but quoted one line "I want", taken
4. one voter did not put "X", but quoted one line "I do not want", taken

If we do not accept any of these cases then the results should be:

3 votes [X] I do not want the voting rules at
5 nuls or abstentions

The 53 "I want" is greater than 41, the "2/3 of cast votes". In such a situation the proposed rules would be adopted as well.
