RE: [wg-b] First case under new cybersquat law (perhaps not)
It may not be the first under the new law. I represented a defendant in a
case in San Francisco where the Complaint was amended last Friday (12/3) to
add my client and add a count under the new act. Case brought by owner of
domain name/trademark americascup.org, against New Zealand owner of domain
name americascup.com. I say "represented," because I got my client dismissed
on Wed.

That was fast. The bill was just signed last week.
Maybe they should start the Clock of the Long Now today.
Then maybe it won't tick until 01/01/00, so we can digest
all the good position papers and give the authors a break. :-)
