[wg-b] Nader/MasterCard Suit
This is a bit off topic, but I would appreciate suggestions from any of
the trademark lawyers regarding who might be a good trademark lawyer.
Baker Botts has just filed a $15 million suit in the Southern District
of New York, on behalf of MasterCard, against Ralph Nader, for Ralph's
use of the word "priceless" in his television ads for President, as well
as web page links. MasterCard apparently has a service mark for
"priceless," which apparently is not exactly priceless. The ads involve
parody of the MasterCard advertising campaign. The suit, which is 23
pages, covers a wide range of trademark issues.
Do people know of the names of good trademark lawyers in Washington or
NY who would not be conflicted on a case like this?
