Don't know which group this applies to, apologies for cross-posting.

Who is going to suggest that the quickest and easiest way to implement
new TLDs (i.e. I assume other than those already proposed) is to enlist
the existing corpus of of national trademark laws under the ccTLDs?

Maybe throwing the baby out with the bathwater, but haven't the French
done it already with tm.fr?

This is admittedly not a TLD, but the availability of that type of
solution as an option and the specific national implementations of
various types of legislation are going to weigh heavily on any proposed
generics.

If a generic common format could be proposed to ccTLDs, it would ease
implementation. This would not necessarily be subversive of WIPO
principles.
