There's a lot to digest. I support the motion to postpone. 

A delay of at least one weekend seems warranted under the circumstances.
I wonder if either of our chairs had any knowledge this was coming?

I was under the impression that some people were suggesting suspending
the work of this group indefinitely, and I meant to say earlier that
doing so does not seem appropriate to me. 

In the meantime, any other bashing of my proposal is welcome, of course.
