[wg-d] determining the make up of working group D
All -- the committee/working groups need to have representation from all
regions and constituencies to make sure there is input from all areas. We
have gotten much interest in this group. For purposes of determining where
we are with this group in make-up, and where we still need to solicit
participation, could all please identify if they are representative of a
constituency, and if so, which one, and the region. This can be sent either
directly to me (to myself and the co-chair (once elections are done)) and
also to the wg-d list, depending on how much e-mail all want to receive.
Once the info's been received, it will be posted/distributed to this overall
list, to identify where outreach is still needed.
Also, in the interest of making sure all interested parties in the DNSO can
partake, directly or indirectly, those representing constituencies should
identify one representative who will be responsible for acting as the
contact point for both their constituency (to provide dialogue back and
forth among the constituency), and for any coordination purposes within the
Committee, facilitate good communication, between the co-chairs and
participants and constituencies on getting input, making sure all are aware
of any postings for comment once this group has something ready for comment,
etc. This will help in many ways, including e.g., if there is a posting of a
draft prepared by this group circulated on this list and the ga list, and
the identified representatives would be responsible for making sure the
respective constituencies are aware of the draft, and that there is an
opportunity to comment and review. This is an informal structural
suggestion, but will ensure good communication and transparency of this
committee's work with all interested parties involved with the DNSO.
