From http://www.dnso.org/dnso/notes/19990712.NCtelecon-minutes.html
The traffic on the [NC] list will be archived and publicly
available as on the other lists.
A mechanism has to be found to prevent non-members of the
Names Council from dialling into the conference
calls and taking the lines from actual members.
I made CLOSED archives for council list, and periodically
(TBD) a copy of these CLOSED archives will be moved to the
PUBLIC archives. The PUBLIC start point is:
http://www.dnso.org/clubpublic/council/Archives/maillist.html
(the old archives have to be restored later).
If the purpose of archives is to keep records without
any constraint on the delay, one solution could be relatively simple
- a copy is done after each NC meeting, and the human ressources
reduced. Is it acceptable ?
I have also a subsequent question: in a normal life a minutes
of any meeting have to be validated by attendees before being
published (all kind of reasons: typos, errors, misunderstanding,
respect of everybody ...). And of course the "noise" of corrections
do not appears, which make life easier to readers, and more human
to everybody.
Do we care ?
