I feel sorry for my belated replies to this.
As a coordinator of this efforts, Information Material(Part 2)Seminars and Tutorials(Part 3), and Workshop(Part 4)
mainly in the AP region, let me breifly explain what we have done and hoply I can find some time slot to make report to this working grooup for your systematic analysis.
The materials have been posted in the aptld website. www.aptld.org
These seminars have contributed to promoting memberships
in the ICANN and raising awareness on the ICANN.
The visible result of these seminars is NC elections.
I was the one who could be elected due to this grassroots' helps which were generated by the seminars and we might witness Africa NC for the first time at the NCDNHC/DNSO in the ICANN in the helps of the seminars we had in Africa last December.

Internet Seminars in AP and Africa(Part 3)
1. Malaysia(July)
2. Taiwan, Korea(September)
3. China, Thailand(November)
4. Mauritania, Benin, Ghana(December)
The Asia ones were coorganized with Y2K issue.
A half day on Internet Governance(YJ Park)
and another half day on Y2K(Izumi Aizu)
The Africa ones have been done by myself, YJ, under the local organization's cooperation, coordinated in LA ICANN meeting mainly by Nii and Kilnam.
The number of participants have been recorded but this time let me give you ballpark figure. Around 50 - 100 was the average.

If we look back on what we have done and what we could get from this, I can say it was worth doing all of these efforts to let those info-poor people have more chances in the new cyber space especially in the ICANN, policy-making body.
I hope this could be answers to your questions.
Regards,
YJ
