Actually, that is sort of an open secret. USG/NTIA/DOC still controls the
root-zone, NOT ICANN. That TLD selection show, at MDR, is just a sham until
DOC/NTIA approves. All of this, ICANN/* stuff revolves around the USG
root-zone. It always has. If you don't like it, see the ORSC, via
www.dnso.net. Try not to act too surprised.
