Re: [wg-review] DNSO Review Report
On 8.15.2000, Ms. Diane
Cabell of the Clinical Program in Cyberlaw, Berkman Center for Internet &
Society, Harvard Law School, sent a message to NC-Review stating, “ we would be
pleased to help with the DNSO Review process”, and outlining the manner by
which they might participate. I am aware that
Ms.Y.J.Park agreed to the proposal stating, “I would like to suggest we accept Diane’s
volunteer expecting sometimes the third party’s perspective can be more
objective and therefore we can reach achieve more.” Regretfully, I do not find a follow-up note on behalf of the
Review Task Force welcoming the participation of this group, nor do I find any
comments from this group posted in either the appendices or the text to the DNSO
Review Report (which, of course, does state, “Comments from the Review Working
Group, individuals, constituencies, and interested parties are welcome”). I have to wonder, what
has the Review Task Force actually done in the last six months to actively
solicit participation of interested parties? Allowing a mere three weeks for a Review Work Group to
accomplish “outreach” strikes me as sublimely ridiculous. To quote the words of R. Gaetano on
9.11.2000, “If I had to draw conclusions, the obvious one is that this task force
is not interested in getting the ball moving…”. |
