Hiro, could the IPC have one of the free rooms for the afternoon of the

Mike this is to correct the voice mail message I left you.
You are right
that in addition to the 14th and the 17th, there are 6 rooms
for free
available for the 13th. Since there are less rooms than
Constituencies and
working groups, we should try to confirm as soon as possible
if we plan on
doing it on the 13th.

Dear IPC Names Council Reps and IPC Officers,
Wow, one day in Chicago away from my email and lots of
questions re a possible IPC meeting in Yokohama. Let me do
this by the numbers.
First, Caroline, when can we meet in Yokohama and what are
the costs (from what appears in the emails below, it seems
that we could meet on the 13th free of charge--is this
correct)?
Second, who among the addresses are planning to go to
Yokohama?
Third, for those of you going to Yokohama, what are your
preferences for a meeting day and time (in light of what we
know based on the emails below and whatever Caroline can
tell us in response to the first question). (I am aware that
Caroline prefers early morning on the 14th; I probably
prefer the afternoon of the 13th since the DNSO appears to
be meeting all day on the 14th and if we need to prepare
anything, we'd have the night to do it; I ask the rest of
you to weigh in with your preferences.)
For AIPLA, both Lee and I will be going, arriving on July
12.
Once I get a better sense of the plans and wishes of the
majority, we will get a date, time, and place and get the
word out to all IPC Members.
Mike

Remarks:
1. ICANN reserved rooms at the convention center, which we
can use freely,
in 7.14-17. We have to rent meeting rooms for any other
days at nearby
hotels, which could be very expensivei($2K-10K per day),
in particular
after 5pm.
2. ICANN and DNSO schedule has been finalized.
3. Joint ccTLD workshops in 7.16 and/or 7.17.
4. Concentrate on ccTLD document/position development on
7.12 and 7.13 since
we should come up prior to ICANN and DNSO meetings this
time.
5. Have document drafting meeting slots in each day so that
smaller groups
could work more efficiently.
