RE: [council] names council teleconference thurdsay 21 september
Ken:
Thanks for this reply -- I appreciate that you're trying to move this
forward. A few points:
[ 4. you e-mail attached SPECIFICALLY refers to a drop-dead date of
[ september
[ 28th so i asked louis to have mr crain contact me as soon as he got back
[ from his bereavement time off.
[
[ so as you can see... i have been trying to follow up on this and working
[ towards having the information back to you in a more substantive manner by
[ the 28th deadline imposed on us in your 17 sept e-mail.
[
Please take a second look at my email -- September 28 is not a deadline. On the contrary, I told the NC that we needed answers well *before* September 28 (which was the proposed date for an NC telecon).
[ i will assume that you will honor the 28th deadline as stated in the
[ previous mail. we will bring this up for discussion at the council meeting
[ today.
Again, the 28th was not given as a deadline, so there's nothing to be honored. The 28th was a "too-late" date. The first request for a response was sent on July 27.
[ 4. i would assume that each constituancy is also contacting you
[ or crain to
[ make their desires known
This is exactly what I want to avoid. Let's work through Paul Kane, so that the DNSO groups coordinate among themselves, and Paul coordinates with John.
[ 5. we would anticipate webcasting of both the GA as well as the names
[ council sessions but are trying to get funding.
[
We cannot wait for much longer on the webcasting decision. A few more days, at most. For example, we have to purchase airplane tickets for the webcasters, and I need to know when to bring them.
Best,
--Andrew
