Re: [council] RE: [nc-budget] Motion: Alternative Solutions tolower the expenses of DNSO

Hi Milton,
I am interested - and very pleased - to hear that there is support in the
NCDNHC for compulsory membership dues.. From earlier discussion on the NC
(before you and Vanny joined us), I had been given the very clear impression
that the NCDNHC had taken an 'in principle' position that they should not be
asked to contribute fees on the same basis as other constituencies and had
not sought to raise fees either thru membership dues or by any other means.
I am glad to find that either I was wrong or that things have changed!

members was elected on the promise to do something about raising money. I
personally ran on a platform of compulsory membership fees. My first action
upon election was to get an organization to agree to retire the 1999 debt.
This all occurred months BEFORE any of us were aware of the NC budget
committee report.

of your ultimata and threats is completely wrong. Quite the contrary. Time
that could have been spent on this problem has been spent dealing with the
issue of linking voting rights to dues.

our constituency I'd appreciate a swift retraction of your false statement.
