RE: [council] MOTION on Nominees to the new ICANN IDNsCommitee: I CANN Board has selected part of its members
Is there not a non-ascii representative already on the Task Force (albeit
not from the DNSO)?

I though DNSO also worries about technical issues
inside DNS. If not, then why the need of one DNSO
representative at all inside such committee? If ICANN
is appointing DNSO also in this IDN Committee is
because they want technical input from DNSO.
Under the light that ICANN is requesting one
representative of DNSO for reason of technical input,
then I consider that DNSO has to have full coverage of
such technical input we can provide by having two
experts instead of one (for ASCII and Non-ASCII).
I want to add that I also support that Elisabeth be
there since I know that she has the technical
background that would make that characters and accents
not included in the English alphabet (most of them
incuded in the ASCII table) be implemented properly.
However, I think that the inclusion of another person
from DNSO to form a team with her that also
contributes with all Non-ASCII character scripts (from
latin scripts as cyrilic, greek, etc, passing from
hebrew, arab, ethiopian, etc...to chineese, japoneese,
korean, etc, will enrich and improove the DNSO
participation in the ICANN IDN Committee.
