I sympathize with you. You met the Single Authoritative Root in person. The 
living AMERICANN Master. His name is Joe Sims. Cannot be anyone else: the 
three words together mean "perfect": an authoritative single root of a real 
wolrd databse (any database, including DNS) can onlybe empty or divine.

Jon Postel thought it empty. They decided it divine.

Mind you, Stuart found a very intersting concept. He describes the devil 
and names it "alternative roots". Then he describes the inclusive roots and 
names them "experimental". So VeriSign can go ahead with its multilingual 
DNs, China is just carrying an experience and we could have a drink 
together in Montevideo.

The reason why he did not want you to vote, was just that you could have 
delayed their donation of .web to Tuckows on an experimental basis as a 
proof of concept that a non profit experience could make money.
