It is not just the poor dirt farmer in Bangladesh the such a situation effects.
I have a cousin in NYC area for instance, quite wealthy, that doesn't
use a credit card, never had one, and furthermore never borrowed
a dime in his 78 yrs. Now even if he wanted to, under the current
ICANN Policy he cannot register a Domain Name with an ICANN
"Accredited" registry. I find that rather appalling. And my cousin
is not the only in the USA that is being blocked or restricted from
doing so either. Many Jewish people don't use credit cards, never
have and never will. Should they also be disenfranchised by such
a stupid policy? No, I think not. However the ICANN BoD
and staff in their infinite supposed wisdom do think so. Again
appalling! :(
