[ga] Re: [voters] RESULTS: Vote on Two motions about ICANN Reform, May 2002

So - a clear majority of voters (67%) want the DoC to initiate a rebid for
the role currently carried out by ICANN.

And - if you soften the criticism a little, you can raise that to 75%.

But you don't actually need Motion 2, because a majority of nearly 7 out of
10 want ICANN's position to be radically challenged by DoC.

Good vote. Thanks to everyone who cared enough to vote.

Will the leadership of ICANN please respond? (Or preferably, just GO!)

And while I'm writing this, may I take the chance to thank Dan Halloran for
his openness and responsiveness - STILL no answer, no reply, not even an
acknowledgement, to my 14 questions posted on ICANN mailing lists and at
ICANNWATCH 12 days ago:

What a pathetic way to run an operation! Openness? Ha! Dialogue? Ha!

If 14 serious questions are raised, which effect millions of users, and
responses are requested - why o why is there no reply. I'm going to carry on
asking the same questions until I can convince myself Dan Halloran does not
inhabit some separate self-serving universe.

Please could you answer my questions, Dan.

Perhaps you can see why the majority voted for ICANN's mandate to be
challenged by DoC.

It's a demonstration of the point. When people in power and responsibility
think they can just ignore those they are in office to serve, the argument
is just about over.
