with me and Chris as to the above.

There was an effort a while back to "internationalize" terms so
as to use only those that when translated would not bring in
connotations that were not intended in the original language.
That may often be difficult to do, so at the very least a GA
dictionary, perhaps with such explanations as "the sense of
this word when translated into the XXX language to include
the meaning YYY is not intended," or something like that.

And also "see ISOC 5678" -- what the hell is that and where
would I find it?  The GA includes not only people that reside
all over the world, but also people of widely varying backgrounds,
so Chris's suggestions is very well taken. Such references need
at least a link at which the document referred to can be found,
so that the reader who does not know what the thing is can
easily go find out.

This includes even such things as APNIC, etc.  There are "clueless
newbies" everywhere, who are just getting in to this game, but in time
they may in fact become the life blood of the Internet. Even "ICANN"
should not be skipped over, but beyond some simple set of acronyms
that would soon be absorbed, I also concur with limiting their use;
this business is complicated enough to soak up without having to spend
time running to a dictionary or glossary all the time. If an acronym is
used, its meaning should be shown right afterwards in parentheses;
repeated usage further on down would then be taken care of.
