[ga-rules] Let us try!
Please visit OUR WEBSITE and familiarize yourself with our rules. Let
us move forward with a great set of modifications.
Our first order of business is clearly a clean mechanisim to bring
things to a vote. Do not let detractors vary us from our task. (did you
know that a suspension is only appealable to the CHAIR)
Ok let us not get bogged down in roberts rules of order.
Time is of critical importance for due process. Make a motion and let
it simmer. then formulate the result of that simmer.
Most important is to focus the chair upon the motion, and have a
mechanism to force her to recognize such a motion, and then act. Our
leaders do much better when they have to act upon the mandate of the
stakeholders. [this is outreach and education]
We must build a mechanism that REQUIRES action from our elected
officials.
There are truly 3 versions; The French which requires direct order with
passion; The English which requires a total count; and the American
which loves this notion called consensus. But there is also our style
which requires all three., we are in good stead. Let us work on a most
considered vote.
1. A vote for any matter may be called by the signing on of any 10
participants.
2. Signing is considered a yes to any call for action by another.
3 Five days after a call is considered a reasonable time.
This is basic and is the beginning.
Best to all!
