Of course, this is probably exactly the goal of the collection
of wreckers and crazies whom the DNSO has attracted.  If that
(relatively small, but very loud and persistent) group cannot
get their way and dominate the DNSO and ICANN, their next
preference is to try to drive everyone with a sincere interest
and stake in the results away.
