I don't see this as being a reasonable problem here, Michael.
Even the "trusted" CA's make it very clear that they are not responsible for
ANYTHING going wrong, so if anyone is depending on Certs to provide the kind of
protection you imply, then they are mistaken. There is no liability or
protection attached to them at all.
