Joanna and all remaining assembly members,
Sometime back now there was quite a bit of discussion as to what the
role
of the GAC really was and what powers or influence it has with respect
to
any decision making. It would seem that although the GAC is an advisory
body primarily, it has considerable influence over the ICANN BoD's
decisions. The GAC also provides broad perspective input to ICANN
as well.
