I merely noted the change in the root zone file. I would hope though, that
ICANN does NOT change nameservers unless requested by the delegated ccTLD
manager...

On this list the head of DENIC, Sabine Dolderer, made very clear two weeks
or so ago, that ICANN was putting preconditions in the way of an update.
This must mean .DE requested it. And I am sure someone from ICANN would
have pointed out, that .DE hadn't requested the update, if that would
have been the case.
