And here is the crux of the matter. If one accepts this, then the owner of
the zone file is the entity that has explicit control over that zone file.
.MX has been placed in the US DoC/ICANN/IANA root, therefore US
DoC/ICANN/IANA owns it. Following this logic, it then becomes difficult to
understand how .BIZ was handled, since the implication would be that it was
NOT owned by US DoC/ICANN/IANA. I am still grappling with the concept that
this is NOT theft.
The simplest explanation is that US DoC/ICANN/IANA owns and controls the
Internet and will do whatever they want with it. And if you don't like it
they won't stand in your way, but good luck.
