RE: [registrars] Position Statement

Michael,

Thanks for all your hard work in keeping the registrars focus. I did
participate on the conference call last week and was very pleased that the
registrars participation in this matter.

I would endorse position paper B, option 2.

Please advise if there is anything I can do with Rob Hall from the side of the
representatives to the ICANN budget committee. I just want to remind all that
we represent over 50% of ICANN annual revenue, while they're looking for
additional income and revenue, we certainly need to keep reminding ICANN that we
need them as much as they need us.

BTW, we are down to two reps for the budget committee, any plans to replace
Maureen's vacated seat?

Cheers

Attached find two draft position statements. Registrars have the following
choices: (1) endorse position paper A; (2) endorse position paper B; (3)
endorse both; (4) endorse a modified position; or (5) endorse neither.

Let me know ASAP. I need to get the constituency's views to our names
counsel representative.

Mike
