WO 99/09726 - METHOD OF DETERMINING UNAVAILABILITY OF INTERNET DOMAIN NAMES
Methods, systems, and articles of manufacture consistent with the present
invention provide an improved query server that overcomes the shortcomings
of existing domain name searching techniques by performing a multitude of
searches simultaneously, transparent to the user. Specifically, the
improved query server searches for existing domain name records in various
domains and then displays the results in a formatted manner, thus
eliminating the need for a user to perform individual searches.
WO 01/20484 - METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR ESTABLISHING AND MAINTAINING
INERNET DOMAIN NAME REGISTRATIONS
Methods and apparatus for conducting transactions associated
with managing Internet domain names includes establishing a connection
between application programs of other users and a registrar of Internet

request fulfillment of a transaction, establishing a secure socket layer
within the connection and processing commands after such authentication.

An apparatus and method for processing a domain name registration
operation in a shared registration system is provided. A registry receives
a request for performing a domain name registration operation from a
registrar. The registry performs an authenticationof the registrar that
sent the request. The registrar is determined to be authenticated, the
registry then determines whether the registrar is authorized to perform an
action necessitated by the operation. Subsequently, the registry executes
the operation based on a determination that the registrar is authorized
and stores changes necessitated by the operation in a database. A response
indicating success or failure of the operation is sent to the registrar.
WO 00/65507 - BUSINESS RULE ENGINE
Methods and systems consistent with the present invention solve the
inherent problems with existing systems that incorporate business rules by
providing a business rule engine (BRE) that serves as a business rule
repository for business rules. Specifically, the BRE maintains a
collection of both rules and targets and an association between the rules
and targets for e-commerce applications. Each time a client accesses an
e-commerce application which triggers a business procedure (target) to
execute a set of policies (rules), the application queries the BRE for a
list of rules, and an order to apply the rules in response to the client's
request. The BRE also provides a facility to modify, add, or delete both
business rules and targets and modify the order of execution by the
application.
WO 00/57611 - APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR WEB FORWARDING
An apparatus and method for forwarding a web address to another web
address is presented. A web forwarder receives a request destined to a
first web address including at least a domain name. The web forwarder then
determines a forwarding uniform resource locator (URL) that corresponds to
the domain name and redirects the request to a second web address that
corresponds to the forwarding URL.
WO 00/57298 - DOT COM BUSINESS CARD
An apparatus and method for providing a single page web site is presented.
A list of one or more domain names is displayed. Each domain name has
either an associated link for purchasing a web page or an associated link
for managing the web page. Information is stored indicating that a web
page is associated with a selected domain name based on a determination
that a link is selected for purchasing the associated web page. If a link
is selected for managing the associated web page, then a customer is
directed to a web page or web site for editing the associated web page.
