RE: [registrars] Credit Card Problem

We switched processors within the last week in order to accept the CVV2
requirement. It appears to have made a significant difference.

I'm curious to know if fraud is still a major problem with registrars that
use CVV2.

Also, as registrars we don't need to necessarily share confidential
information, just sharing IP's, countries or email addresses would help.

Lynn:

The legal hairs on the back of my neck are standing up regarding the
confidential sharing of information. Hopefully we can get someone in to
discuss this problem in more detail and what we can and cannot do.

All,

I have expressed concern about the credit card fraud issue a few weeks ago.
As I said that those abusers tend to go to the extreme, 10 years
registrations. I strongly believe the registry should refund us the
remaining whole years of registration fees when we delete the domain name
after a fraud is discovered.

To request a card code is one more step to reduce the fraud. I have
identified one of our abusers also owns some other domain names and I wish
we registrars could share that type of informations in a private manner.
