Hello All, Please find attached the report of the WHOIS Implementation Committee that examined the WHOIS Task Force recommendations. Some of the recommendations were found to be unimplementable and alternatives have been proposed to improve WHOIS accuracy. Note it is very important that registrars are seen to be supportive and proactive regarding strategies to improve WHOIS accuracy, whilst ensuring that such strategies are practical. No change from the status quo will not be acceptable. This report will be considered by the GNSO Council along with the WHOIS Task Force report in the GNSO meeting on 20 Feb 2003. If the GNSO Council approves the WHOIS recommendations, a final report will be submitted to the ICANN Board by the end of February and will be on the ICANN Board's agenda for the Rio de Janeiro meeting in March 03.
