To be honest, tonight I have heard that it is in Asia, North Africa and
Europe. I'm not sure if that makes a Turkish rep over-qualified or
dis-qualified ;)

I would tend to agree. It is far more important that we promote good people
that can help registrars look out for themselves than it is that we worry
about whether or not Turkey is part of Asia or whether Richard Lindsay is
Canadian or Japanese. :( Good candidates are found all over the place.
