RE: [registrars] Not a problem
Bob,
I am against your motion. I think the boardrooms web voting system is easy
to use and a benefit. While I wish it were cheaper, I believe a web based
system is better then an email one.
I understand there may have been some challenges getting people signed up to
it, but I believe they are in the past.
I think the fact that in the recent election of Henning, more Registrars
than ever voted on the issue, clearly shows that people like it, and are
using it.
I also believe that it is possible to turn off the ability to see how a vote
is going by the membership. I believe the execom chose not to do this for
the recent ballots. There may be cases where we desire this, but I agree in
general that it is not a good idea to be able to view the vote as it is
ongoing.
Rob.

Dear Michael:
I wish to present a motion.
Moved that the Boardroom Votebot system not be used for future elections
within the Registrar Constituency.
Sincerely, BobC

Why is there never enough time to do it right,
but always enough time to do it over? ;-}
