[comments-gtlds] RE: Something of interest (.NU)---response
It seems pretty clear that the gentlemen
(intials: A.H) who has written several times blasting .web
pre-registrations to IOD and now has violated ICANN rules by naming a person in
his comments in a derogatory way (calling him a cybersquatter) has probably a
hidden agenda (note his email address (.nu)....Well sir, I am sorry you bought
.nu names thinking they were going to replace .com's.... Just don't try to lash
out at others for all the wrong reasons...Believe it or not some of us are
trying to change the internet for the better realizing some shortcomings that
are inevitable (cyper-pirates), however in deference to the person you named as
a cybersquatter you should check out the defintion before you criticize...If you
own a generic name...that is not trademarked...then in America and most
civilized nations in the world you will be allowed to buy those types of
names.....Therefore I think you owe an apology...Especially since you broke
ICANN's rules....I agree with the founder of IOD's position of constructive
dialogue....Let's approach it from that standpoint....Instead it seems like
those of us that want to get the story straight are having to keep writing into
this forum to correct (from our view) misguided, derogatory comments...Let's use
this forum to generate ideas voice your opinions for our against (with
facts)....We will all win this way.....
By the way, if it your position that those that
were pioneers in registering a .web name and your angry because of it.....then I
assume your were just as angry as those that bought generic .com names (unless
you too own a couple hundred and are hoping no new TLD's come on board)...New
TLD's will ease the crunch and begin the next generation internet...Let's move
on and work together...Thank you! P.S I know I promised my previous email
would be the last, however I felt that I must right a wrong.....
