Nice try, but Eric's characterization is correct and yours is not.
The fact that someone has gone off and done something with an independent
DNS root system does not have any relevance to these activities.
No doubt those seeking to profit from their rogue (errr... independent)
activity wish to force their activities into the mainstream, but their
desires for profit do not create the necessary relevance.
