Apart from the issue of whether the word "consenus", as used above,
should be replaced with "majority", or, "democracy", I agree with the
above.

Two issues:

Firstly; if ICANN functions as a government, then, it should be subjevt
to normal democratic processes, applicable to a democratically elected
government.

Secondly; many years ago, I read the Communist Party Manifesto, out of
curiosity. The fundamental thing that I disliked about it (it may have
been my interpretation), was that it criticised what existed, and did
only that, without offereing a constructive alternative. It is one thing
to say "ICANN this", and, "ICANN that", but, it is more constructive, to
say "I believe that a problem exists with ICANN, and the problem is
...., and, I believe that the way to rectify this, is ....". That way,
constructive discussion can ensue, which may even result in a benficial
outcome (especially if the people in power sit up and listen, or, are
deposed, and, replaced with a better system).
