Well put Jefsey. I might add that future WGs may suffer from lack of interest due to the lack of real input value as perceived by members of the current
WG, who see and understand the duress under which Ms. Park is being placed. It seems as if the Business Constituency (the group Theresa Swinehart
represents) is pulling her reins...

An excellent suggestion and a circumspect analysis. It's become increasingly more and more evident that certain NC members are opposed to the very
idea of freedom of speech and wish to place our discussion under constraints which will not serve the purposes of the majority of Internet users. It's a pity
some people can't see or think outside the bubble of their limited interests. Bravo for Ms. Park, representative of the NCDHC interests (which appear to
include DEMOCRATIC principles and processes)!
Perhaps the US and all the other Internet "owners" *should* retreat into isolationist, protectionist Internet positions. Perhaps we *should* refragment the
world into spheres of influence (based on Root Zones this time). I think the emergence of a strong European Common market along with the
standardized Euro currency will serve to bring a healthy dose of reality to those in the USG and US Business Communities whose greed has superseded
any good sense they may have had. Not to mention the emergence of new Roots outside ICANN's purview... More and more people will just start
supporting alternative Roots when they see whose interests are ultimately being catered to here.
It is becoming increasingly clear that there is an imbalance and abuse of power in the existing NC, DNSO, & ICANN organizations. No wonder there is no
real effort at effective outreach! Just imagine what would happen if more people knew what was really going on!
