[wg-review] CoChair election
The booth indicated today the results.
These results now show that Greg has been selected with nearly 49% of the
votes.
The number of people having voted is reduced (only 41)
With the used voting system people only 1/3 rd or less of the voter
supported several candidates. This creates a situation where we have 6
clans, including those who were not happy with the candidates and those who
oposed the vite.
This leads to think that consensus will be difficult.
Being the candidate with the smallest number of votes (and probably the
most self-motivated supporters), I think it is my role to call all the
WG-Review to unite around its Chair, YJ Park, and to support Greg Burton
her co-Chair. I hope the other candidates to join me on this (that I
congratulate for heir results).
We have had a lot of different opinions expressed here, very often on
misunderstandings, lack of informaton or personal judgements. If we want to
build something we should finish with this and work from now on seriously
on a few clear propositions which unite us towards practicable decisions
by the NC and the BoD. Since we have clearly 4 groups behind the four
candidates, I suggest we work all us four on a limited set of suggestions
where we may reach a consensus, taking into consideration the positions of
all those who did not vote and to have the whole WG-Group voting them.
