Yes. But the real problem for ICANN lies in the fact that the Members who are not "members" actually voted in 5
members of the ICANN BoD! This clearly makes their membership valid! Under California Corporation Code (or any
toher for that matter).
Thanks for the public support Phil. I have been contacted by others off-list who agree with our sentiments. I urge
others on this WG Review to carefully consider what is going on here in the WG... NO LESS THAN 7 (perhaps
more?) Members of the Names Council, are involved in the WG-Review! The same NC which is to receive the
"report" from the WG. If anyone is even remotely interested, I suggest you go back and read the posts to the WG
made by these very same Names Council Members. Question: Did the Names Council members offer anything
PRODUCTIVE to the WG? Question: Did the NC members offer anything of a constructive, positive nature to the
WG? YJ Park aside, what business did the rest of the NC have in participating in the WG?
THE @LARGE MUST ORGANIZE!!!
With or without help from other @Large members who are on this WG, we will put up the WORLDATLARGE.ORG
web site! With or without the other members of this WG, we will draft a charter and actively begin soliciting
members to take part and make their voices heard.
Some people have already begun exploring this option, ever since the Marina del Ray meeting.
If the @Large "Study Group" does not disturb MOST members of this WG, then I suspect it is because they are
*cronies* for those who would dissolve/hobble the @Large.
The time for effective @Large action and organization is short and certain people are trying to make it shorter...
Imagine! They will consider dissolving the @Large and they never even gave it any chance whatsoever!!
Is it any surprise that the @Large Membership has been closed to any NEW Members since the last election?
Well, considering what some people have in store for the @Large... it really shouldn't be!
