Correction.  They are not consistent with YOUR UNDERSTANDING of the 
written word.  They are very consistent with my understanding of the 
written word.

It is difficult to communicate with people who have strong 
preconceptions.  So to them, it looks ill defined.

It is difficult to deal with the public perception when there are 
numerous people who passionately believe in a totally mistaken idea of 
what ICANN is about.

Nope.  Though I can see how someone who was totally mistaken about what
the real internal mandates were might reach such a conclusion.

Nonsense.  Please do recall that the Government Accounting Office did 
an in-depth review of ICANN...

Once again the fixation on "control"...

You've listed a bunch of problems that exist in some imaginary thing 
that you call "ICANN".  There is no obvious relationship between what 
you imagine and what the real ICANN is supposed to be.
