RE: [wg-review] Voters should indicate they voted!

Greg: Folks on the list were kind of enough to direct me to this site for
acronyms:
http://www.dnso.org/dnso/acronymsdnso.html
the other site was at tuxedo.com for Internet jargon.

Isn't it interesting that we're still debating what we're doing here and
what the mission of this working group is; .are we talking about the DNSO
(Domain Name Support Organization of ICANN) or are we talking about ICANN?
And here I thought way back in December when this started that we were
trying to figure out how to get more input into the "governing" body of the
internet. I even thought this might be about getting more public input
about TLDs (Top Level Domains). What an adventure in learning this working
group has been!

Good to see you're still here, Cindy. This entire topic is apparently about
who voted in the poll about "should the constituency structure be
abolished". Mr Conant, despite comments that the number of voters (25) was
extremely small give the over 140 members of the WG and 43 members who had
contributed to the constituency threads, seems bent upon insisting that
there were too many voters. Mr Conant was apparently not present for the
initial discussions about voting or constituencies.

Given Mr Conant's habit of recaptioning threads to include the name of his
organization, and his demonstrated ability to make unsubstantiated and
incorrect claims (including that he had been censored), I suspect that his
real intent is to continue to promote himself inappropriately within this
WG. That he has managed to divert attention to himself rather than to the
subjects of the WG makes his strategy appear to be a success.

On a more pleasant topic, as I remember you had created a list of acronyms
used in the discussions. If you still have that, could you forward it to
Joanna Lane so that she might incorporate it on the web site she's doing
for us (www.internetstakeholders.com).

Regards,
Greg
