You are kidding aren't you. The majority of politicians and other leaders have to go through a series of trials by fire so to speak before they reach their positions. I'm sure a US citizen knows a fair amount about their President. They also know that not only has he been representative of his local area but has achieved the respect and acknowledgement required from their peers. Their "resume" has been gone over time and time again. They have proven themselves worthy to be considered for the position.
With the Names Council, from what I have seen, the same process is sadly lacking. There is only the first step in the process. Which is why I advocate another level between the Constituencies and the Names Council. I have called it an Assembly in my submission regarding the constituencies. I would like to see the Constituencies populate an Assembly on the basis of their representative standing (membership), from this Assembly, the positions of the Names Council would be filled. This would add an additional process to allow for further screening of prospective NC members.
Darryl (Dassa) Lynch.
