No the internet doesn't belong to the US, but the main root still does, and
the alternative roots I'm aware of are also US private operations, so far.
Shouldn't stay that way, but process takes time, it's moving away, at least
from US Gov control, if we can keep Congress at bay until the roots are not
under political control/infuence.
