RE: [wg-review] [IDNH] my posting to the ICANN forum

Kent,
You are right and reviewing the history can clarify how true or false a
statement of the day may be. OTOH, you appear to be carrying the heavy
burden of resentment from past battles with Joop, which is having a negative
impact on the value of your comments.

As a freshman here, I am mindful that those who have a long history, can
thwart the consensus building process by insisting that another person must
be deliberately misleading members if they make a comment that is
inconsistent with history, when in fact, it may be that the other person has
been persuaded to change their views in some small measure, which is not
immediately obvious. That would be something to celebrate.

Personally, I have been impressed by how many members of WG-Review are
willing to move forward by compromise, including Joop, who has made many
comments to that effect. Therefore, I see no reason why I can't take what he
says on face value at this time.

fundamental problem.

I am willing to review the underlying issues and try to respond to them in
a constructive way. Ridding the room of disgruntled person seems an
unrealistic goal unless you are willing to meet them half way.
