[wg-review] Re: NC input

Sotiris:

After a quick review of these proposals let me say that I prefer the structure proposed by Jefsey Morfin. I should rather say that I support the concept - a lot of the details remain to be worked out.

I like the concept of a much looser structure where interest groups can assemble and disassemble and there is no fixed number or set of constituencies.

Details:
* What defines "membership" in the GA?
* How many people are on the NC?
* Who pays for DNSO activities?
* Carefully define the relationship (policy making authority) between the GA and the BoD. the word "consultant" is vague and not useful.

The latter point is critical. ICANN assigns economically valuable property rights. Registries invest $$$ and need to recoup these investments via the market. Registries and registrars need to know what the rules are and who can change them.

Please forward to the wg-review list if necessary.
