Thank you for reminding us of that Board decision, Philip.

Stricly speaking, it means that almost nothing that this WG has discussed
so far (proposals that go clearly beyond " improvements to the operations
of the DNSO as it is constituted today ") will be considered by the Board.

This means that even a relatively modest proposal of adding an Individuals'
constituency to the NC, will not now be considered for Board action.

Have we been wasting our time?

Is this how we have to read what the Board decided?
I understood from Jon Cohen and Hans Kraaijenbrink that they would like to
have the creation (or the "approval in principle") of a DNSO constituency
for individual DN holders on the Board's agenda in Stockholm.
Andy M-M and Karl A. will certainly come with a motion to this effect and
all we (individuals) need to do is present our case.

Rod has made a good start. If this WG's facilities shut down, those who are
interested in building the case can move elsewhere. The IDNO website can be
used to support this effort.

Those who are committeed to provide the Board with suggestions how to
improve the representativeness of the DNSO can also find a place to work
elsewhere.
The NC will have to live with the consequences of their decision to
withdraw the WG facilities.

If it is all about " improvements to the operations of the DNSO as it is
constituted today",
then the NC itself has some work to do.

For the report of the 16th April, I have only one concrete suggestion to
make to the Board :

Improvements to the operations of the DNSO as it is constituted today can
be made by asking the NC to invite as "guests" or "observers" in its
meetings up to three elected representatives of the diverse groups that
have formed around the interests of Individual DN holders.
This would be a good preliminary step prior to creating or approving such a
constituency in Stockholm.

But clearly, to make the DNSO worth listening to, a lot more is required.
