RE: [council] voting for board member -- procedures and when

Marylin and Tony:

So, you mean that also knowing the candidates (as proposed Peter) will
also divert some of you from other important issues?

I don't know how dedicating 5 minutes in the meanwhile everyone of you are
checking their own e-mail will distract you for ICANN issues.

When I said "to set aside a time", I was meaning that during September 9
and Setempber 10, for sure many of you will be checking e-mail and sending
e-mail. All what it takes is five minutes (maybe less) to send your
e-mail with your vote.

Anyway...this proposal is because I also think, as Peter do, that it would
be interesting to meet face to face candidates in Montevideo. But, if
this is not the interest of some members of the Names Council, or some
members of the Names Council considers it is not important, then for sure
voting can extent from August 29 to September 10 and the ones that are
interested in listen what candidates have to say will wait to it and vote
on September 9 and 10.

Any other thoughs?

Best Regards
Vany
