Agreed. But if the ICANN BoD decides to change policy it is not too
difficult to see that the rules for registration in .ORG would
subsequently
change also. In fact the ICANN BoD has indirectly eluded to this
already. As such, existing registrants in .ORG and all future
registrants
would be terribly effected, or possibly lose their domain Names in .ORG.
For this reason, it is my belief that a clause in the new contract
must
contain verbiage that would not allow this to occur, or a moratorium on
registration policy for .ORG be included as part of this contract that
would
be incumbent upon the NEW registry entity for .ORG.
