Dear Kristy,

Please go to ICANN home page and look from there for the budget and the structure
of ICANN.  What you say is true but there is not one dime nor one position
allocated for what you say.

I have only seen a few hundred models in print, but I have never seen a real
non-profit organization without the structure and allocations for fund
raising/grant writing/foundation liaisons or Economic Development.

Now you can do it with independent development groups and they take a percentage
of the donations or sponsorships or grants.  But who in their right minds would
spend their effort raising funds here when they could raise them for something
fairly charitable or at least artistic or medicinal or educational or .....?
Remember the clock is ticking toward IRS review of non-profit status and our
percentages of donation to fee based finance is really not in fiscal health unless
of course Versign is simply donating.
