e-mail extract I received tonight, with reference to Marco Publishing Corp
who obtained 93 out of the 100 registrations achieved by newly-formed Parava
sub-company Bondi LLC (the other 7 names went to a lady called Suzanne
Lecocke - nobody else got any, you could imagine the list and company seemed
to exist for their exclusive benefit):
"I read
http://www.theinternetchallenge.com/biz.htm
and now know that the Marco Publishing Company mentioned in your .biz
page is the Marc Ostrofsky of $7.5M business.com fame. He's the director
of Marco Publishing Corp., incorporated in Texas on 3/1/02. You can
verify this with the Texas Secretary of State at 512-463-5555 from 8-5
Mon.-Fri, central time.
You wrote regarding Registrars like Bondi LLC: "It seems inexplicable
that their key domain registrations have gone to an individual
customer out of all the internet users in the world."
What if that one individual happens to be probably the most famous
successful internet speculator?"
I take the view (Richard Henderson writing here) that the ordinary
individual should have the same rights and opportunities as the wealthiest
millionaire when it comes to the fair distribution of the DNS. It was part
of ICANN's mandate to ensure that this was so. I still maintain that
Neulevel need to seriously consider the deletion of names which are either
being sold on in violation of the .biz rules, or were obtained in a manner
which jeopardises the integrity of both Neulevel and ICANN.
