Sorry, I didn't express myself well. I'm sure that Mr Sclavos
considered the letter very carefully, and probably had his lawyers draft
good parts of it. But the facts remain: the contracts are distinct from
the letter; it is a letter to Vint, and not a letter to ICANN; Vint
can't unilaterally bind ICANN to anything; an appreciation of Vint's
personal committments to whatever is just an appreciation, and has no
legal significance. You can sit and read the tea leaves however you
want, but why do you waste time doing that? Why not look at the
*contracts*?
