RE: [registrars] Whois Task Force Interim Report
I believe that Mike intended to have something drafted in time for the
meeting, so that we could take that straw poll and issue the statement on
Monday. Mike, isn't that right? Thanks

As we have no quorum requirements in our bylaws, I would object to the
constituency taking a position on any matter that hasn't been ratified by
the membership. There is no reason to not abide by our regular procedure of
requiring that all formal positions are adopted by a vote of the
constituency. Until we have rules of procedure or bylaws in place to deal
with face to face meetings, I am hesitant to toss out our de facto rules.
Accordingly, I would urge the constituency to continue with out current
practice of straw polling at our face to face meetings, but not adopting
formal positions of the constituency without a full polling of the entire
membership (and not just those that happen to show up).
